Patterns
Patterns in VTT‘s brand colours are our exclusive graphical components for various design needs. Patterns are available as original (large) versions and close-up (zoomed) versions. They can also be simplified to create harmonised layouts.
In digital applications our 2D-patterns come to life and are animated. We use animations e.g. in websites, events and videos.
Pattern themes
We have several different pattern themes in use at VTT. There is no categorisation for patterns; choose whichever you prefer for your design, but use only one pattern per design or material to yield maximum impact. Pattern use is not mandatory in every design. Examples of the main pattern themes are below.
Simplifying patterns
Our patterns can be edited and details can be zoomed in and out. Close-up versions of our patterns are chosen details from the original pattern files. Surfaces can also be re-coloured with our brand colours to get the wanted result.
Simple geometric shapes, such as rectangles, circles and triangles, form the basis of our patterns and graphic storytelling.
Patterns in use
Feel free to play with the patterns, and utilise both the original and close-up versions to create variety and engaging content.
Use calmer close-up patterns in large surfaces, e.g. as background illustrations in events, and original versions in details to spice up the entity.
Patterns can also be combined with images.
